Company Description

Weatherbury Farm is a family owned and operated sustainable farm located in the rolling hills of southwestern Pennsylvania. Grass-fed beef and lamb are raised for sale directly to the consumer. Certified organic grains (soft & hard wheat, oats, spelt, open-pollinated corn, rye, emmer and einkorn) are also grown on the farm. In 2014 we began selling our grains as flour directly to consumers. From putting the seed into the soil to putting the flour into the bag all of the operations of planting, harvesting, grain cleaning and milling will happen on our farm. Additionally in 2017, pasta will be made out of our flour to give consumers a ready-to-use product which emphasizes the flavorful nuances of the different grains we grow.

Weatherbury Farm was one of two farms selected (from 500+ farms) for the 2012 Pennsylvania Certified Organic Sustainability Award.
Offering overnight farm experiences, Weatherbury works to reconnect people with the farm and the source of their food. City Slickers have been coming to Weatherbury Farm for the past 25 years to get a taste of farm life. Our Weatherbury Farm Kid’s Program debuted in 1998 and provides families the opportunity to learn more about farming and agriculture. Nearly 1400 children have earned the “Weatherbury Farm Kid” designation for participating in this program. The highlight of a visit to Weatherbury is morning chores.

Weatherbury Farm hosts farm field days both singularly and with other organizations to educate the community about farming. We also host Folk Music Jams, concerts and workshops to bring the community together and offer entertainment.
