Company Description

If there is one person that loves farming high quality grain and hay it's Carl Blackmer of Old Fort Farms. Throughout the years his operation has evolved from small square balers into kick wagons and then progressed to automated pickup with New Holland bale wagons. The most recent step occurred several years ago when he bought a hay press and large square baler. Today he bales over 1500 acres of timothy and alfalfa mixed hay along with purchasing local and Canadian hay to press into small bales. The hay gets loaded on to trucks and shipped to numerous states east of the Mississippi River for all kinds of horses, cows and other fuzzy pets to enjoy!
