Company Description

Since its founding in 2002 the Tashunka program has offered horsemanship instruction, horse leasing, trips, leadership development, and has developed into a dynamic and varied program which now includes boarding, training, apprenticeship, hauling, show services, clinics, consultation, and rehabilitation.

Over the past few years the Tashunka programs have been available to a diverse group of people, ranging in age from 5 to 65. Some have found their victories in the show arena with a well earned round of applause, others by qualifying for the state championships
some have discovered their achievements in the high country of Montana, Idaho, Canada, Washington, and Oregon
some created their own successes right at home by overcoming obstacles and mastering the unimaginable
others have had the pleasure of experiencing Tashunka in their own ways!

....and for those inquiring minds.....The name "Tashunka" is a Lakota Sioux word that translates to mean "male horse" This name was selected due to its unique quality and meaning. Also, it sounded a lot better than Camp Mazzola!
