Company Description

The Urban Farm (TUF) was created in 1993 when its founders began a program for 15 inner city youth to learn about horses at a private farm. It subsequently expanded its programming to include other animal and plant programs.

The Urban Farm has evolved into a 23-acre educational campus devoted to programs in equine education, animal husbandry and horticulture in an intimate farm setting.

Our team includes Board Members, Staff and Volunteers passionate about educating and mentoring children and youth about animals, agriculture, sustainable living, and environmental stewardship.

In addition to its educational programs, The Urban Farm provides an important visitor attraction to the Northeast Denver area, as well as an attractive and unique venue for mission related activities and events.

Our programs incorporate the Five TUF Character Strengths that are the foundation of our learning goals: Respect, Responsibility, Grit, Caring, & Curiosity.
